  • 2 packages Johnsonville Beer Brats
  • 10 slices thick turkey bacon
  • 2 sweet onions
  • 2 red peppers
  • 2 green peppers
  • 2 yellow peppers
  • 1/4 cup beer
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (divided)
  • Hoagie rolls or soft buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to 375°F.
  2. Slice all vegetables and combine them in a baking dish with beer, butter, salt, and pepper. Grill until softened (20–25 minutes).
  3. Remove vegetables from the grill.
  4. Wrap each brat with turkey bacon and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Grill the wrapped brats until crispy (5–8 minutes).
  6. Brush half of the barbecue sauce on each brat before removing from the grill.
  7. Toast hoagie rolls for 1–2 minutes.
  8. Assemble by placing drunken vegetables at the bottom of each bun, followed by a brat, more vegetables, and drizzle with remaining sauce.
