  • Deli ham
  • Swiss or Provolone cheese
  • Toasted breadcrumbs
  • Butter
  • 2 T. butter
  • 1 T. flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Dash hot sauce (optional)
  • cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour and chicken bouillon, then add milk gradually until smooth. Stir in Dijon mustard and optional hot sauce; cook until thickened. Mix in Parmesan cheese and keep warm.
  2. Prepare the Quesadilla: Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Layer one tortilla with cheese, ham, breadcrumbs, chicken, sauce, more cheese, and top with another tortilla.
  3. Cook: Brown each side of the quesadilla until crispy (3-4 minutes per side). Slice and serve with remaining sauce.
