  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
  • 23 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ onion, finely diced
  • ¾ cup (200 ml) tomato passata
  • ½ cup (120 grams) cream cheese
  • ¼ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, reserving about ¼ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic and onion for about 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in tomato passata and basil; simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Add cream cheese, parmesan, and reserved pasta water; mix until smooth.
  5. Toss drained pasta with the sauce until evenly coated.
