  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeos (fresh or pickled)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, and diced jalapeos until well blended.
  2. Form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) from the mixture and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Place breadcrumbs in another bowl.
  4. Coat each ball in the flour mixture first, then breadcrumbs until fully covered.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350F (175C).
  6. Fry bites in small batches until golden brown (about 3-5 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
