  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let sit until foamy (about 10 minutes).
  2. Combine eggs, softened butter, flour, and salt with the yeast mixture; knead until smooth. Cover and let rise for one hour.
  3. Prepare garlic herb filling by melting butter in a pan; add minced garlic and cook for two minutes before stirring in herbs.
  4. Roll risen dough into a rectangle on a floured surface; brush with garlic herb butter and sprinkle cheese evenly.
  5. Roll tightly into a log shape; slice lengthwise and twist both halves together.
  6. Place twisted loaf in a greased pan; let rise for another 3040 minutes until doubled.
  7. Preheat oven to 350F (175C); brush with egg wash before baking for about 3540 minutes until golden brown.
