  • 4 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • Parsley flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 385F (196C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under cold water.
  4. In a bowl, mix cold water with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to prevent browning.
  5. Carefully carve skull faces into each potato using a paring knife and place them in the lemon water.
  6. In another bowl, combine olive oil, remaining lemon juice, and all seasonings.
  7. Drain the carved potatoes and toss them in the seasoning mixture until well coated.
  8. Arrange the potatoes on the prepared baking sheet with carved faces up and bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown and tender.
  9. Garnish with parsley flakes before serving.
