  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, finely grated
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 12 tbsp chili paste (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by mixing soy sauce, honey, chili paste, garlic, and ginger in a bowl. Coat the chicken well and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated chicken for about 34 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  3. Reduce heat and pour remaining marinade into the skillet. Simmer for 23 minutes until thickened.
  4. Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving hot over rice or noodles.
