  • 2 chicken breasts (cut in half lengthwise)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion (sliced)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • Fresh chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise; season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, lower heat to medium, add remaining butter and sliced onion; saut until softened (10-15 minutes).
  4. Stir in minced garlic; cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  5. Add chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up any browned bits.
  6. Stir in sour cream until smooth; heat gently without boiling.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Serve immediately garnished with parsley.
