  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Crusty French or Italian bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F (190C). Spread garlic butter on bread slices and arrange on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Saut minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet in a single layer. Cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Remove shrimp and make the sauce by adding wine (or broth) and remaining butter to the skillet; simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Stir in lemon juice and return shrimp to skillet to coat in the sauce.
  7. Serve warm with garlic bread on the side.
