  • 5 medium apples, sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 and 1/2 cups salted butter, melted
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • Salted caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, toss sliced apples with lemon juice, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and spices.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter with oats, flour, sugars, baking soda, and salt to form the crust.
  4. Reserve 2 cups of the crust mixture for topping. Press the rest into the prepared pan.
  5. Layer the apple mixture over the crust and sprinkle with reserved crumble.
  6. Bake for 38-45 minutes until golden brown and apples are tender.
  7. Cool on a wire rack before slicing; drizzle with salted caramel before serving.
