  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 fresh lemons, juiced (about ½ cup)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (or sweetener of choice)
  • 4 cups filtered water

Instructions

  1. Brew the hibiscus tea by boiling 4 cups of water, removing from heat, and steeping 1 cup of dried hibiscus flowers for 15-20 minutes until vibrant red.
  2. Strain the tea into a pitcher using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth; allow it to cool completely.
  3. Wash and slice the strawberries; set aside.
  4. Juice the lemons into a measuring cup until you have about ½ cup of lemon juice; combine with sugar in a separate bowl until dissolved.
  5. In the pitcher with cooled hibiscus tea, add strawberry slices and lemon-sugar mixture; stir well.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving over ice.
