  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk (warmed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tbsp milk (to adjust consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warmed milk and yeast; let it froth for about 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in another bowl. Add the yeast mixture along with melted butter and eggs; stir until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 810 minutes until smooth; let rise in a greased bowl until doubled (about 1 hour).
  4. For the filling, combine crushed Oreos, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a medium bowl.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the filling evenly, then roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces.
  6. Place in a greased baking dish and let rise again for 1520 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350F (175C) and bake for 2530 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While baking, prepare frost by beating cream cheese and butter together; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Drizzle warm frosting over rolls before serving.
