Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 lb penne or rotini pasta
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Season the sirloin with salt and pepper; sear for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove steak and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add 4 cups of water and bring to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes). Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  4. Return drained pasta to the pot on low heat. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, adjusting consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
  5. Mix in the seared steak; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
