  • 2 1/23 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 34 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional toppings: fresh parsley, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-low heat, add olive oil and saut minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add the dry ditalini pasta, stirring well to combine with the garlic.
  3. Pour in enough chicken broth to cover the pasta completely, then add salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat to simmer for about 9-10 minutes.
  4. Check the doneness of the pasta; some broth may remain at the bottom but will absorb as it cools.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for one minute.
  6. Remove from heat and mix in butter and parmesan until melted into a creamy sauce.
