  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt to taste
  • tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente; reserve cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Toss shrimp with 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning, salt, and olive oil.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the shrimp for 12 minutes per side until pink; remove from skillet.
  4. Reduce heat to medium; add butter and garlic to the skillet; cook until fragrant (12 minutes).
  5. Stir in lemon juice, zest, remaining Old Bay seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), and reserved pasta water.
  6. Add cooked pasta and seared shrimp to the skillet; toss until well coated and warmed through.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
