Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 10 oz mushrooms (button or baby bella)
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • 34 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • cup dry white wine
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • Garlic, butter, and seasonings

Instructions

  1. Clean and slice the mushrooms and mince the garlic.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and add mushrooms; saut until moisture is released. Stir in garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms; stir well and gradually add beef broth while stirring to prevent lumps. Add soy sauce, onion powder, mustard powder, thyme, wine, and simmer.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet; let simmer in sauce for about 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry; stir into sauce for thickness. Add heavy cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
