  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces milk chocolate, melted
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, mixing well.
  3. Gradually add flour, baking soda, spices, and salt; mix until combined.
  4. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick and cut out pumpkin shapes. Place on parchment-lined baking sheets.
  5. Freeze cut-out cookies for 1520 minutes before baking for best results.
  6. Bake for 812 minutes until lightly golden. Cool on racks.
  7. Brush melted browned butter on the top half of each cookie and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  8. Assemble by spreading melted chocolate on the bottom half of cookies without faces and pressing down the decorated tops.
