  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 large apples (finely chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350F (175C) and line an 11×7 inch baking pan with parchment paper or cooking spray.
  2. In one bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter with sugars until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Gradually add the dry ingredients followed by folding in chopped apples and cinnamon.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly. Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown; a toothpick should come out clean.
  5. For the glaze: Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat, then stir in maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle over cooled blondies before slicing.
