  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled

  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, softened (for buttercream)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp strong brewed coffee, cooled (for buttercream)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for buttercream)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350F (175C). Grease your cake pans.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy; add eggs one at a time, then stir in coffee and vanilla.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet until just mixed.
  5. Divide batter into pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  6. For the buttercream, beat softened butter with powdered sugar, adding cooled coffee and vanilla until blended.
