Ingredients

  • Phyllo dough
  • Unsalted butter
  • Shelled pistachios
  • Cream cheese
  • Granulated sugar
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla extract
  • Honey
  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Lemon juice
  • Orange blossom water (optional)
  • Sour cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the honey syrup by simmering honey, water, sugar, lemon juice, and orange blossom water until thickened; cool completely.
  2. Preheat oven to 325F (163C) and prepare a springform pan with foil lining.
  3. Layer phyllo dough in the pan, adding melted butter between layers.
  4. Sprinkle pistachios and sugar over phyllo layers, then set aside.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese, gradually incorporating sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and sour cream until smooth.
  6. Pour half the cheesecake mixture over the phyllo base; layer more phyllo on top followed by remaining cheesecake mixture.
  7. Bake for 6070 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center; cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
  8. Serve chilled with drizzled honey syrup and garnish with additional pistachios.
