  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 ounces dark chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the heavy cream and whole milk in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat until hot but not boiling.
  2. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of the hot milk mixture with the cornstarch to create a slurry. Return it to the saucepan.
  3. Add brown sugar, white sugar, cocoa powder, dark chocolate, vanilla extract, and salt to the saucepan. Stir gently until melted and slightly thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
  5. Whisk briefly to smooth out any lumps, then pour into popsicle molds and freeze for at least 4 hours until solid.
