  • cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 5 cups cold water (for lemonade)
  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the hibiscus syrup by combining 2 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar in a medium saucepan. Heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add cup dried hibiscus flowers and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, then let steep for 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture into a large pitcher using a strainer or cheesecloth to remove the flower petals.
  4. Stir in 5 cups of cold water and 2 cups of fresh lemon juice until well combined.
