  • 1.3 pounds ground beef
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 yellow onion (grated)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp chopped dill (more for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine grated onion, ground beef, breadcrumbs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into four patties ( inch thick) and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 45 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, saut minced garlic and diced onion until fragrant. Stir in salt, pepper, flour, and chicken broth; bring to a simmer.
  5. Add heavy cream and fresh dill; return the patties to the skillet and simmer until heated through.
