  • 2 shots bourbon
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 21/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 to 3 cups dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375F.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown. Stir in bourbon and allow to cool.
  3. In a stand mixer, combine the cooled butter with brown sugar, white sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk; mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt; mix until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Chill dough for at least one hour.
