  • 6 oz fresh or dried noodles (ramen or spaghetti)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons soy sauce
  • ¾ tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 ½ tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ½ tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • ¾ teaspoon cornstarch
  • ¾ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ¾ teaspoon grated ginger
  • ¾ tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons beef broth or water
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak by combining it with soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), cornstarch, and sesame oil in a mixing bowl. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cook the noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated steak until browned (about 3-4 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter, then sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  5. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey (or brown sugar), and beef broth. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Toss in the cooked noodles and return the steak to combine all ingredients well.
