  • lb Shellbow pasta
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 4 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • cup half and half
  • cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Gather and measure all ingredients.
  2. In a large soup pot over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and seasonings, stirring until fragrant.
  3. Pour in chicken broth, half and half, soy sauce, and add the bouillon cube; mix well.
  4. Bring to a boil, then add Shellbow pasta. Cook uncovered according to package instructions, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once cooked, reduce heat to low and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Add lemon juice.
  6. Stir in remaining tablespoon of butter before serving warm.
