Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or mahi-mahi)
  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded purple cabbage
  • cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Juice of 3 limes (1 for fish, 2 for slaw)
  • cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • Olive oil and spices (chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder)

Instructions

  1. Season the fish fillets by patting them dry and rubbing with a spice mix made from chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Drizzle lime juice over the seasoned fish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the fish for about 3-4 minutes per side until flaky. Transfer to a plate and break into chunks.
  3. In a large bowl, mix shredded cabbages and cilantro. In another bowl, whisk together mayonnaise or Greek yogurt with lime juice, honey, salt, and pepper; pour over cabbage mixture and toss to coat.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
  5. Assemble by placing fish chunks in each tortilla and topping with slaw and avocado slices.
