  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil, whole eggs (as directed on cake mix box)
  • Red gel food color
  • Blue gel food color
  • 1/2 cup Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Optional: Betty Crocker™ Red, White & Blue Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 12-cup fluted tube cake pan with baking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cake mix, water, oil, and eggs using an electric mixer for about 2 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Divide batter into three bowls: tint one red and one blue using gel food colors.
  4. Pour red batter into the pan first, followed by white (remaining) batter, and then blue batter in the center.
  5. Bake for 39–44 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
  6. Drizzle melted frosting in stripes over the cooled cake and top with sprinkles.
