Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz. crescent dough (2 rolls)
  • 16 hot dogs
  • 2 lb. block of Colby Jack cheese (for star toppings)
  • Wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for about 10 minutes.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and cut into 1-inch strips, then halve them to about 8 inches long.
  3. Skewer the hot dogs, leaving about two inches exposed.
  4. Wrap each hot dog with the dough in a spiral manner, ensuring gaps expose parts of the hot dog.
  5. Pinch the ends to seal the dough around each hot dog.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the wrapped hot dogs on it.
  7. Bake at 375F for approximately 9 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While baking, cut cheese into slices and use a star cookie cutter to create cheese stars.
  9. Once baked, add cheese stars on top of each hot dog while still warm.
