  • Blue and red gel food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup salted butter
  • 45 cups powdered sugar
  • 57 tbsp heavy cream
  • Red pull-and-peel licorice
  • Patriotic sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a cupcake pan.
  2. Prepare the white cake mix per package instructions.
  3. Divide batter into three bowls: color one blue, another red, and leave one plain.
  4. Alternate pouring colored batters into cupcake liners, filling each about ¾ full.
  5. Use a toothpick to swirl the colors for a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 18-21 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Melt white chocolate and let it cool.
  8. In a mixer, beat softened butter until creamy; add powdered sugar gradually and mix in heavy cream and lemon juice until combined.
  9. Once the chocolate is cooled, add it to the frosting mixture; beat until fluffy.
  10. Frost cooled cupcakes using a piping bag and decorate with licorice and sprinkles.
