  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices American cheese or cheddar cheese
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1 cup cooked fries, roasted potatoes, or tater tots
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sesame seeds, optional
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the Burger Sauce: Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Burger Meat: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with butter or oil. Add ground beef in small portions and smash down with a spatula. Season and let brown for about 6–8 minutes.
  3. Add Cheese: Place cheese slices over the hot beef and allow them to melt before mixing.
  4. Prepare the Bowl Base: Divide lettuce among serving bowls and top with tomatoes, pickles, onion, fries or potatoes, and shredded cheddar.
  5. Assemble: Spoon hot cheesy meat over the ingredients in each bowl and drizzle with the sauce.
