  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)

Instructions

  1. Make the raspberry swirl: In a saucepan over medium heat, cook raspberries, sugar, and water until saucy (about 5 minutes). Set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 350F (175C).
  3. Melt butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat until smooth; cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla; stir in melted chocolate.
  5. Sift in flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder; mix gently until just combined.
  6. In a greased baking pan, layer half of the brownie batter, add dollops of raspberry sauce, top with remaining batter, and swirl.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool before cutting into squares.
