  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and diced onion; saut until softened.
  3. Stir in the carrots and cook for an additional five minutes.
  4. Add the potatoes and pour in the vegetable broth; bring to a boil until potatoes are tender.
  5. Mix flour with milk until smooth; stir into the soup while simmering.
  6. Add broccoli florets; simmer for another 1015 minutes.
  7. Incorporate grated cheddar cheese until melted; season with salt before serving.
