  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (400 g), cut into chunks
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika (Hungarian or Spanish)
  • 160 ml heavy cream or crème fraîche
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into fries
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220C (425F).
  2. Toss potato fries with olive oil and salt. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook chicken chunks in oil for 5–6 minutes until browned; set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté onion for 2–3 minutes, add garlic and paprika; cook for another 30 seconds.
  5. Return chicken to skillet, season with salt and pepper, then stir in heavy cream. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve hot with golden fries.
