  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced thin
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic; saut for about 5 minutes until mushrooms are browned.
  3. Remove mushrooms from the skillet and add white wine, Italian seasoning, lemon juice, flour, and Dijon mustard. Stir to form a smooth paste.
  4. Gradually add heavy cream, simmering for about two minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the mushrooms to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and combine with the cooked pasta.
  6. Toss with chopped parsley before serving.
