  • 4 carrots, sliced

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 810 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup uncooked wild rice
  • cup flour
  • cup half-and-half
  • cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by dicing the onion, chopping the carrots and celery, and mincing the garlic.
  2. Place chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker. Layer with garlic, herbs, onions, carrots, and celery.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and add rinsed wild rice along with a bay leaf.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 68 hours until rice is tender.
  5. Shred cooked chicken and return to the pot.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, half-and-half, and whole milk; stir into soup to achieve creaminess.
