  • 1/3 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 cups ripe peaches, diced
  • 1/2 cup + extra turbinado sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup whole milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tsp whole milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F (175C). Prepare a greased 9×5 loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and 1/2 cup turbinado sugar until creamy. Add eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition. Stir in milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Gently fold in the diced peaches.
  4. Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and top with extra turbinado sugar.
  6. Bake for 5055 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Allow cooling briefly before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with milk until you achieve desired consistency and drizzle over cooled bread.
