3/4 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon molasses
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F (175C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and molasses until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually incorporate into the wet mixture.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Roll dough into small balls and coat in granulated sugar before placing on the baking sheet.
