  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 cups white flour (+ cup separated)
  • cup dark cocoa powder
  • cup creamy peanut butter
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • cup vegetable oil or melted coconut oil
  • cup white sugar
  • tbsp instant active dry yeast
  • tsp baking powder
  • tsp baking soda
  • tsp salt
  • 1/4 chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Heat milk and oil in a large pot until about 120F, then sprinkle yeast on top to activate.
  2. Mix in flour and cocoa; cover and let rise for an hour.
  3. Add salt, baking powder, baking soda, and knead until smooth.
  4. Roll out dough, spread peanut butter over it, sprinkle with sugar and chocolate chips, then roll tightly.
  5. Cut into slices and place in a greased pan; allow to rise again.
  6. Bake at 375F for 1518 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Prepare frosting by mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla; frost cooled rolls.
