Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of deli-style turkey
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place each chicken breast between plastic wrap and pound to about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. On each chicken breast, layer two turkey slices and one slice of Swiss cheese. Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  4. Set up a breading station: one dish with flour, one with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and another with panko breadcrumbs seasoned with garlic powder.
  5. Coat each roll in flour, dip in the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in panko.
  6. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sear the rolls until golden brown on all sides.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk before stirring in Swiss cheese until smooth.
  9. Serve the baked rolls drizzled with the creamy cheese sauce.
