  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until translucent (3-4 minutes).
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks until browned (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper; bring to a simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Lower heat and add heavy cream and shredded cheese; stir until smooth.
  6. Toss cooked pasta into the skillet, coating well with the sauce. Heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve warm garnished with fresh parsley.
