  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F (175C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture; mix well.
  5. Stir in mashed bananas until fully incorporated.
  6. Gently combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; fold in walnuts if using.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized portions onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 1012 minutes or until lightly golden around edges; cool on a wire rack.
  9. For the glaze, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over cooled cookies.
