  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • cup water
  • cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (divided)
  • 2 containers Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F.
  2. Cook diced apples, water, ? cup sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened (57 minutes). Let cool.
  3. Unroll crescent dough and place 1 tablespoon of apple filling on each triangle's wide end. Roll from wide to narrow and seal edges.
  4. Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; roll each bomb in this mixture.
  5. Bake on a greased baking sheet for 1215 minutes or fry in hot vegetable oil until golden brown (about 23 minutes).
  6. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
