Ingredients

  • Tart crust
  • Butter
  • Crimini mushrooms
  • Fresh spinach
  • Onion
  • Eggs
  • Whole milk
  • Heavy cream
  • Gruyère cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the tart crust and place it in a pie dish. Pre-bake for about 10 minutes until lightly golden. Set aside.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onions until translucent, then add mushrooms and cook until softened. Stir in spinach until wilted.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, salt, pepper, and cayenne if desired.
