  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup uncooked orzo
  • Juice of 1 tablespoon lemon
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  2. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds. Stir in flour and cook for one minute.
  3. Pour in chicken broth while stirring until the flour dissolves. Add Italian seasoning and chicken breasts; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to simmer with the lid slightly open for 15 minutes.
  5. Stir in uncooked orzo pasta; cook uncovered for an additional 10 minutes or until orzo is tender.
  6. Remove cooked chicken, chop into bite-sized pieces, return to soup, and stir in lemon juice and parsley before serving.
