  • 1 lb sirloin steak (or steak tips)
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups milk
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and season the steak with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter, add minced garlic, then stir in flour to form a roux. Slowly whisk in milk and beef broth until smooth.
  4. Add shredded cheddar cheese and stir until creamy.
  5. Cook tortellini according to package instructions but undercook slightly; drain and toss with olive oil.
  6. Grease a baking dish (9×13 inches) and combine tortellini, steak, and cheese sauce. Mix gently and top with mozzarella.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
