  • 2 cups chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
  • 14 ounces caramels (unwrapped)
  • 5 ounces evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until combined.
  4. Spread half of the cookie dough into the prepared pan. Bake for about 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. In a saucepan over low heat, combine unwrapped caramels and evaporated milk until melted and smooth. Pour over the baked cookie layer.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of remaining cookie dough on top of the caramel layer and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until set.
