  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 cups quick cook grits
  • 8 oz smoked gouda cheese (shredded or cubed)
  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup Half & Half
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil. Add minced garlic and stir in the grits. Reduce heat and simmer until thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and mix in smoked gouda and cheddar until melted. Stir in butter, Half & Half, eggs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour mixture into a greased baking dish and bake for 30-45 minutes until set and golden brown on top.
